Fluent HD: The first new offering to join the Clutch family of fly rods is the Fluent HD series. These rods are all 10'0" long and come in line weights #6, #7, and #8. Sporting a matte finish with special UV-coating, the list of components includes titanium-framed stripping guides with SiC inserts, Recoil snake guides, 1" fighting butts, and custom acrylic reel seats. Expect these to be available this fall at a price of $795 which includes a sock and tube.
REV: These new rods are two-handed models all measuring 11'0" in length. Offered in #5,#6,#7, and #8 sizes, this series touts features such as black aluminum reel seats, titanium-framed stripping guides with SiC inserts, Recoil snake guides, matte finishes, and special UV coatings. Available starting this fall, Clutch REV rods should cost $849 which also includes a tube and sock to protect your investment.
A couple of other new rods are joining the Clutch lineup that weren't being shown at IFTD. The first is the Veritas which are all one-piece trout rods measuring 8'8" and in line weights #4,#5, and #6. Pricing is yet to be announced. Secondly, the Rapt series is designed with the euro-nymphing enthusiast in mind. These rods will all be 10'0" long and initially will come in line weights #4 and #5. The features list includes titanium-framed stripping guides with SiC inserts, Recoil snake guides, and tubes/socks. Look for these to be available in Spring of 2017 with pricing yet to be determined.
