In addition to new finishes like the Jon Osiris Tribal Grizzly and the new Grateful Dead designs, Abel introduced their Sealed Drag Saltwater reels. This new series sports a sealed drag system consisting of 16 polycarbonate and stainless discs for up to 20-pounds of fish-stopping power. Although it looks similar to the current Sealed Drag series, there's been some slight design changes to the spool and frame. Available in January, there will be a #7/8, #9/10, and #11/12 offered. This reel was so impressive that it won the Best Saltwater Fly Reel award at the IFTD show!
